The Longest Day of the Year!

This is the sixty-first installment of West Wind, your daily drop of thoughts, ideas, and info for this Season. June is Accordion Awareness Month, so increase your awareness by listening to some of my favorite artists and soundtracks! Find any you’ve missed in this easily navigable index.
The character themes in Clair Obscur have music box versions in the game, and music box renditions of soundtracks are popular now, so why not an accordion rendition? It’s good for everyone, I promise.
It’s the first day of Summer! We have seen lots of warm, wet weather lately, with days of thunderstorms stacked up on one another. It’s the perfect environment to start setting off fireworks in just a few weeks.
In Idaho, fireworks were highly restricted, and for good reason, since the area around Boise was so dry that fires were common around the Fourth of July without factoring in a higher amount of incendiary devices. Here in Indiana, though, I don’t think you could burn anything down with fireworks even if you tried. Just wait a few minutes and it will start raining.

It’s also that day yet again, where we feature a Florabeast from the ever-growing stable of animal-shaped plants that roam the Frontier. They’re not plant/animal hybrids, if you were wondering, they’re completely plants with no animal cells whatsoever. But the natural philosophers of that era didn’t understand cellular biology just yet.
Will Florabeasts exist in the future of their world, similar to how Pokémon is set in a modern era? Of course, but that wouldn’t be very interesting, would it? The wild west fur trade era setting makes it unique, as near and far as I can tell.
That’s really all I’ve got for today, so make the most of the daylight today to do something fun. I’ll be back again next week sometime.
