Relax, you've got this

This is the fifty-first installment of West Wind (for real), your daily drop of thoughts, ideas, and info for this Season.

In an online writing community I belong to, many of the members are very concerned about accidentally “doxxing” themselves, and revealing personal information like their name and location. I can understand why that would be important, but it isn’t really feasible for me. I’m a published author with my name on dozens of books,1 so I’m not afraid to say that my name is Zephyr Thomas and I live in the greater Louisville metro area.

That was an elaborate introduction to today’s topic. Apparently here in Kentuckiana, auto accidents are a very common thing, since there are billboards everywhere advertising various legal services to help people when they get in a crash, not if. I can corroborate this since within a few months of moving here, we totaled the car that brought us across the country. All the billboards tout the lawyers’ effectiveness at “winning,” and honestly, they get a little tiresome. But not these:

Apologies for the image quality, they were taken from a moving vehicle. I wasn’t driving, of course.

Sam Aguiar is a real injury lawyer company that is very involved in the community, and apparently is more concerned about spreading positivity through encouraging messages than flouting how much they can “win.”

These are effective, in my opinion, since they’re short, to the point, and simple. They get your attention, and by driving past them multiple times a day like people are apt to do, they will hopefully help the message sink in. We definitely need more of this in the world. I also don’t have much more to say about this, I’ll let it speak for itself. Enjoy your day.

1  Meaning total quantity of books across three titles, not that I have dozens of different titles. There are 41 printed copies of my books in the world.
